Speaker Spotlight: Marcia K. Elder

Marcia Elder is an accomplished public speaker, trainer, facilitator and published writer. In addition, she is a successful entrepreneur who founded her own business, Creative Pursuits, Inc., in 1984, and who heads up two other small businesses, including a retreat center for “therapeutic learning” (learning in a nurturing setting while having fun!).

Creative Pursuits specializes in training, education and other information services and products. CPI also combines innovative technology know-how with human potentials advancement. Elder has pioneered TechnoCommunications: The Creative Method (SM, Patent Pending) as a mix of technology applications for learning, empowerment and inspired action. CPI has received national recognition for its teleseminars and on-line educational programs, and for Elder’s public speaking abilities. CPI also provides technical services in varied disciplines related to quality living; policy expertise; writing and publications; and other professional services.

Elder  serves as Director of a statewide nonprofit organization which sponsors  capacity building services for nonprofit groups, along with programs for public education and empowerment.

She was a Trainer for Anthony Robbins seminars for 10 years, which she describes as “the ultimate in training, experiential learning and taking it to the ultra-next level!”

Her experience also includes 20 years experience as a nonprofit association(s) executive &   manager, prior to which she was a Senior Manager and Program Coordinator with the State of Florida , Governor’s Office and two Executive Agencies.

She has been an appointee to multiple state advisory bodies by the Governor, Legislature, Cabinet and Supreme Court; and the recipient of numerous awards by state level nonprofits and associations. She recently won a national competition for public speaking, and in 2002 Florida Trend Magazine rated her as most likely to succeed in business for the year ahead in her region.

Elder is a Skydiver & Firewalker (from her Tony Robbins days), holds a

Graduate degree in Engineering, has provided volunteer service to numerous charitable and public interest organizations, and is known for her integrity, enthusiasm, precision, skill & boundless energy.
